JAKARTA - PT Lautan Luas Tbk appointed as organizer and manage of Bonded Logistics Center (PLB) by Directorate General of Customs, Indonesia Ministry of Finance.
PT Lautan Luas Tbk is one of the 28 companies certified special education because it has the readiness of the system and excellent track record, the company also has a Certificate of Authorized Economic Operator (AEO).
Companies engaged in the distribution and manufacturing basic chemicals and this special is not only focused to serve PLB chemical industry, but also other industries. Two PLB warehouses of PT Lautan Luas Tbk in Cibitung and Semper, Jakarta.
"The company is planning expansion of PLB in Surabaya as a step in supporting the government's program. In the future we will include also some warehouses of our branches," said Ridwan Adipoetra, Head of Corporate Communication of PT Lautan Luas Tbk in Jakarta, recently.
PT Lautan Luas Tbk this year also planned merger attempt between the subsidiaries, namely PT White Oil Nusantara and PT Metabisulphite Nusantara which located in Gresik and PT Dunia Kimia Jaya (DKJ) domiciled in Bekasi, where DKJ will act as the company receiver merger. In addition, PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo which is a subsidiary company based in Mojosari at the end of this year plans to complete the expansion of the plant to a total capacity of 61,600 tonnes per year creamer.
To note, as a program of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the PLB is one of the government policy contained in the Economic Policy Package Volume II in September 2015 ago.
The existence of PLB is indispensable for business people and also foreign country in supporting the storage of goods imports and exports in Indonesia, at the same time want to make Indonesia as the Logistic Hub in Asia-Pacific.
Imported goods are stored at the facility PLB get incentives such as the suspension of import duties and import taxes for three years. PLB is also a guarantee of the availability of goods for industrial customers in which the goods are already available in Indonesia.
Some convenience and unloading fast and efficient in the PLB is expected to cut the cost of logistics as well as lowering dwelling time. Thus, businesses can compete with the reduction of port storage and demurrage charges.
