JAKARTA - Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) has received the request from someone claiming to be the victim of a beating Mayor of Bandung, Ridwan Kamil.
"Petitioners hope that the legal process carried out professionally though the perpetrator is an official," said Deputy Chairman of LPSK, Edwin Partogi Pasaribu, Thursday (24/3).
Edwin explained, so far the applicant felt intimidated going Ridwan Kamil statements related to their case, including another effort from people claiming to meet messengers from Ridwan Kamil.
Reported alone, according to the victim in the release, to date no apology.
"This case is a test for the West Java Police to act professionally because it reported a regional head in there," said Edwin.
Edwin said police need to pay attention to what is submitted by the complainant, including finding witnesses relevant to the case.
"Because of what happened in the public space, of course, a lot of people who could testify in court. This includes utilizing existing CCTV footage around the scene when there, to find out the true facts," he said.
LPSK will process all requests that come in, and will be examined by the Agency within the rules on LPSK, although not a priority case.
Erwin insists though this is not a case of a priority, but public concern over the case because it is reported that hold important positions are supposed to be role models by emphasizing peaceful ways.
"Agency rapporteur hopes rights are respected, including guaranteed for the absence of threats or intimidation for the report," he said.
As known, on Sunday morning, public transportation driver named Taufik Hidayat reported Bandung mayor, Ridwan Kamil to the police because the driver had slapped three times.
Responding to the report, Ridwan Kamil denied having slapped a public transportation driver named Taufik Hidayat three times so that the driver Ridwan Kamil reported to the police.
"There was no beating. This has forced residents thugs entered his car, caught the mayor, to run away, bye I wrote that?" said Ridwan Kamil in the official account @ridwankamil, Sunday (20/3).
The man who is familiarly called Emil threw a nudge contain denials that he had slapped the transportation drivers. Here is the news related nudge Ridwan Kamil slapped a transportation drivers:
"1. He is not a public transportation driver, but member plot routine offenders. 2. He would obscure such as usual, then sy prevent", said @ridwankamil at around 12:00 pm.
"3. This gang sdh sy verbally remind a dozen times. 4. Sdh repeatedly raided Skogar apparatus, so cause no backing, now play victim," said @ridwankamil.
"Car black plate, unregulated Transport of passengers at will anywhere. many years of doing this," said @ridwankamil.
