JAKARTA - To facilitate people who fulfill obligations of zakat during homecoming season, PT Pertamina (Persero) opened 'Baznas Counter' at some number of gas stations at five provinces in Indonesia.
"Pertamina during homecoming is committed to serve travelers to be comfortable during the trip, including providing facilities to pay zakat at 'Baznas Counter' at some gas stations in five provinces," said Vice President of Retail Fuel Marketing PT Pertamina (Persero), Jumali in Jakarta, Tuesday (30/5).
The opening of Baznas Counter is also part of the 'Pertamax Berkah Perjalananku' program organized by this State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) engaged in integrated energy management, and the largest oil and gas producer in Indonesia.
"This program also educates and greatly facilitates the public to pay zakat, because the location of the gas station is easily accessible and even the destination of travelers during the trip," said Baznas board member, Irsyadul Halim.
During this Ramadan 1438 H, Baznas indeed improve the convenience of services to the public to pay zakat, either conventionally such as the opening of outlets in various centers and the ease of zakat through digital services. People can choose the most suitable and easily accessible payment channels.
