As said PSSI Secretary General, Ade Wellington, most players imported will be projected to go into the U-19 under the direction Indra Sjafri. But it is possible, some names can also go up to the U-22 national team that trained directly by new coach from Spain, Luis Milla.

The talents are Sammuel Christianso, Syahrian Abimanyu, Nicholas Pambudi, Pancar Nur Widiantono and Adam Putra Firdaus who currently play in Spain; as well as Excel Favour YT, Fidelis Kelby Timothy and Muhammad R. Habibie in Italy; George Brown and Jack Brown in England; Charalamboss Elias David in Greece; and, Andri Syahputra in Qatar.

U-22 had already started doing first stage of selection in the field of Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH) Karawaci, Tangerang, 21 to 23 February 2017. There are 25 players who follow the selection.

The selection process for the U-19 team is set to be completed in early April. Indra Sjafri’s team is scheduled to partake in the U-19 AFF Cup in September and in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup in October.

Showing support for the Spanish coach, Indra said he would allow anyone in his future squads to be called up for the senior team if needed.

“If Milla needs one or more of my players, I will certainly accommodate that,” said Indra.
