GRESIK - PT Lautan Luas Tbk with several subsidiaries, namely PT Liku Telaga, PT Metabisulphite Nusantara, PT White Oil Nusantara and PT Pacinesia Chemical Industry in Gresik and PT Lautan Natural Krimerindo collaboration with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia launched 21 habitable houses for Gresik residents, East Java.
Development of appropriate housing has already begun at the beginning of the month in December 2015 is located in the village Kesambenkulon, Wringinanom, Gresik, East Java.
The ceremony was attended by the Regent of Gresik, Sambari Halim Radianto and Vice Regent of Gresik, Moh. Qosim, Head of Corporate Communication of PT Lautan Luas Tbk Group, Ridwan Adipoetra and National Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, James Tumbuan. The inauguration of 21 habitable houses also accompanied by istighosah as a form of gratitude Wringinanom society.
"The house livable is an important indicator in the poverty eradication program," said James Tumbuan, Director of Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, Tuesday (24/8).
Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, added James, appreciating steps of PT Lautan Luas Tbk is committed to empowering low-income communities by building appropriate housing and support facilities.
"We are grateful for trust from PT Lautan Luas Tbk in this cooperation," said James.
In addition to the construction of appropriate housing, PT Lautan Luas Tbk and Habitat for Humanity Indonesia also help Wringinanom people in water supply, training local residents for disaster management and other training.
These activities are part of the PT Lautan Luas Tbk CSR program such as community empowerment that is sustainable in order to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people.
