JAKARTA - 'Ghosts' of layoffs (PHK) when latter occurs as a wave acknowledged the Ministry of Manpower (Menakertrans) as inevitable.

He also admitted that one of the causes of layoffs is the presence of several foreign investors withdraw their investment in Indonesia. However, he added, the number of new foreign investment that entered also rose significantly.

lot of entering. If we see from year to year in Jokowi government, foreign investment continues rise, in 2015 foreign investment rise 17 percent," said Hanif.

To note, the number of workers whose employment is terminated by the end of March 2016 reached 3,795 people.

If viewed by sector, the largest number of layoffs occurred in the agriculture and fisheries sector, namely 1,172 people or about 30 percent. Then followed the sectors of trade, services and investments amounted to 697 people, or 18 percent.

The rest of the industry and basic industry chemicals (7 percent), mining (6 percent), infrastructure, utilities and transportation (3 percent), education (3 percent), finance (2 percent) as well as businesses outside the sector (30 per cent) ,

The four regions with the highest number of job cuts throughout 2016 are Jakarta (1,048 people), North Sulawesi (1,076 people), North Sumatra (454 people) and East Kalimantan (448 people).
