JAKARTA - Social Minister, Khofifah Indar Parawansa asserted, the state through the Ministry of Social Affairs does not recognize the term lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT). According to him, the Ministry of Social simply identifying people with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and minorities.
"So, if structurally, no special structure with LGBT terminology that there's directorate that handles its Sub-Directorate of PLWHA and minorities community," the minister said at the DPR/MPR, Jakarta, Tuesday (16/2).
He explained that if there is such behavior, are handled by the directorate. He said that the behavior of these LGBT, Khofifah acknowledged there is an innate, but more due to environmental factors.
She also worried about the existence of LGBT groups can manipulate the social order. So, need early anticipation, especially the role of the family.
"I'm afraid it later became part of social engineering in it, is equally premature to anticipate, the family becomes very important to be able to do the maximization of the role of the family," said Khofifah.
Therefore, he stressed the importance of the role of LGBT families in order to prevent such behavior.
