JAKARTA - About the 2017 MotoGP circuit locations in Indonesia there is not a point of clarity yet until today. Various locations speculation emerged, ranging from Palembang, West Java and last seputaran Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta.
Talk about the possibility of the circuit in around GBK, the Dorna as promoter of the MotoGP circuit to allow Indonesia to use the streets or Street Circuit.
"During a meeting with the minister (Imam Nahrawi), Javier Alonso from Dorna said that would be fantastic Indonesia will hold a MotoGP event with the format of the street circuit for the first time," said Head of Public Communication Kemenpora, Gatot Dewa Broto at Kemenpora Office, Jakarta, Friday (12/2).
Dorna provides flexibility for Indonesia to hold a MotoGP event in the path of the highway. Whereas previously said that MotoGP is only intended for permanent circuits.
Dorna parties even allow Indonesia ineligible straight track distance of at least 900 meters.
"Our info riveted the right path that must be at least 900 meters but said Alonso, 600 meters it's oke," explained Gatot.
He acknowledged, paddock manufacturing cost is more expensive than on paved roads and put gravel on the street circuit MotoGP.
"Later, the paddock is in the picture (the street circuit in GBK) will be at the door 7, in front of TVRI. Later on either side there VVIP paddock," he said.
For information, The Macau Grand Prix is annual motor/car racing event which usually held on the streets of Macau.
