Kutai Kartanegara Regent Skip from KPK Call

JAKARTA - Kutai Kartanegara (Kukar) Regent, Rita Widyasari did not meet call of investigator of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The regent who has the status of the suspect is called to be questioned about bribery permits for oil palm plantations
Not only Rita, Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama (PT MBB) Khairudin who also has the suspect status also absent the call of investigator.
"Today two suspects summoned for examination, namely RIW (Rita Widyasari, red) and KHR (Khairudin, red) are not present," said KPK spokesman, Febri Diansyah at KPK Building, Jakarta on Wednesday (4/10).
According to Febri, KPK will reschedule Rita and Khoirudin's summons to run the first examination.
In investigating this case, KPK has examined 23 witnesses from various parties, including officials of the Housing and Settlement Office of Kukar, Education Office, Dinas Cipta Karya and Library and Filing Service. Then the Social Service, Public Works Department, Community Empowerment Office, and the private sector.
"Investigators explore the indication of the flow of gratuity funds against the suspects," said Febri.
As is known, revealed in KPK investigation, Rita allegedly received a bribe of Rp 6 billion from the Director of PT Sawit Golden Prima (PT SGP) Hery Susanto Gun. Bribes allegedly to smooth the core and plasma permits of oil palm plantation sites in Kupang Baru village, Muara Kaman District.
In addition, during July-August 2010 Rita and Commissioner of PT Media Bangun Bersama (PT MBB) Khoirudin allegedly received bribes worth USD 775 or equivalent Rp6, 93 billion.
