JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested Mayor of Cilegon, Banten, Tubagus Iman Ariyadi. This adds the long list of heads of regions who arrested by KPK recently.
Minister of Home Affairs, Tjahjo Kumolo admitted to appreciate KPK's move. However, he also admitted quite concerned.
"In the future, all the leadership and training exercises we are working on by adding to 50 percent of modules containing anti-corruption substance, especially prevention as part of the Mental Revolution Nasionsl Movement," said Tjahjo in his press statement on Sunday (24/09).
According Tjahjo, corruption is the responsibility of all levels of society both in terms of prevention and prosecution. Prevention can be socialized in schools, media, companies and political parties.
He hoped that the public would participate in monitoring the political system of regional heads to prevent similar cases in the future.
"I hope, Mayor of Cilegon arrested is the last. Principle, let us escort together for the realization of clean governance in accordance with the second Nawacita ideals," he said.
As known, KPK arrested Mayor of Cilegon related licensing industrial area. In this arrested, KPK team secured evidence in the form of cash worth hundreds of millions. KPK also sealed the Office of Investment and One Door Integrated Services Cilegon.
