BOGOR - The overcast clouds surrounding Bogor, West Java did not diminish warmth of President Joko Widodo's meeting with 44th US President. Barack Obama at Presidential Palace of Bogor on Friday afternoon, 30 June 2017.

Obama, wearing a long-sleeved blue-colored shirt combined with dark-colored trousers, arrived at Bogor Presidential Palace at 15.30 WIB. Obama's arrival was welcomed by President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and the president's son, Kaesang Pangarep.

Upon entering Presidential Palace of Bogor, Obama first filled the guest book and then entered the Garuda Palace Palace Bogor room to then chat casually on the back porch.

Afterwards, President Jokowi who wore a white long-sleeved shirt and then invite Obama to Cafe Grand Garden, which is about one kilometer from the area of Bogor Palace by using golf cart.

Arriving at Cafe Grand Garden located in Bogor Botanical Garden area, President Jokowi and Obama then enjoy tea and various snack market, such as onde-onde, sweet potatoes, cupcakes, skipjack tuna, and chicken lemper.

While talking for 10 minutes, the rain fell, so they both moved to the balcony cafe room. This time, the meatball soup into a dinner that accompanies both conversations in the rain that flushed the
area of Bogor.

After talking long enough, President Jokowi and Obama also ended the meeting by taking pictures together and at 16:30 pm, Obama left the cafe to return to Jakarta by car.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi said, in the middle of his vacation to Indonesia, Obama has taken time to drink tea with President Jokowi at the Bogor Botanical Gardens. Retno explained that President Jokowi's invitation to Obama has started to be submitted since early 2015.

"The invitation of a vacation to Indonesia is repeated at a time when President Jokowi visited Washington DC in October 2015," said Retno.

After Obama no longer served as president, President Jokowi again invited Obama to vacation to Indonesia.

"The President sent a written invitation to Obama for a vacation to Indonesia," said Retno.

Before arriving in Jakarta this afternoon, Obama first spent his time in Indonesia by visiting the island of Bali on 23-28 June 2017, and Yogyakarta on 28-30 June 2017.
