JAKARTA - Eid Fitri gifts not only meet the needs of celebration, but it is also expected to be useful after this Muslim day.
This is which doing by Rumah Zakat (RZ). They trying to implement to the foster children through sharing happiness event with 1,000 orphans and poor people, recently.
RZ gave Eid Fitri gift to 1,000 orphans in the form of school supplies. This expected to spark the spirit of these children to continue school.
"Among them are clothing and school supplies. It is hoped to be an adder to happiness and spirit of foster children ahead of Eid Fitri and useful later on," said Branch Manager RZ, Jaelani in Jakarta, Wednesday (21/6).
In addition to distributing Eid gifts, in this activity RZ also held various types of educational contest such as adzan contest, selection of small da'i, mema of 30 juz of Al Quran, calligraph and intelligent meticulous followed by orphans who are still sitting in elementary school.
At the beginning of this activity themed Ramadhan Happy Energy, children showed creativity in the form of dance, marawis, percussion and hadrah.
Jaelani added, during month of Ramadan, RZ also held a big program nicknamed Smile of Ramadan. This program consists of four types of activities, namely Fasting Break Sharing, Lebaran Gift Orphans, Shird of Qur'an, and Family Lebaran Gift. Until the 24th day of Ramadhan, RZ has distributed 100,983 packages of Sharing of Fasting, 6,245 Eid Fitri packages for orphans, 3,812 packages of Shird Qur'an and 3,092 Family Eid Gifts.
Added by CEO of Rumah Zakat, Nur Efendi, it believes that the sincerity of donors and partners to share through zakat, infak funds and Smile of Ramadan program will bring a lot of happiness for the needy, including orphans and the poor.
