SURABAYA - In recent times, artists have opened their businesses, especially culinary business. As did a popular artist through 'Ketika Cinta Bertasbih' movie, Oki Setiana Dewi. She is now steadily opening a culinary business with his younger sister who is also Youtuber, Ria Ricis.
The siblings chose Surabaya, East Java as a business center for her culinary souvenir named 'Surabaya Patata'.
This delicious and delicate bakery business was chosen by Oki and Ricis not without reason.
"Surabaya is a big city crowded with people and also visited by many local and foreign tourists. And we see a culinary souvenir in form of Surabaya cake is a good opportunity to seriously open and pursue this business. So 'Surabaya Patata' we choose and Insha Allah favored the people of Surabaya and also from various regions and abroad," said Oki in Surabaya, recently.
They both, she continued, will always go directly in handling this new business. Despite the long distance between Jakarta and Surabaya, they felt it would not be an obstacle.
"We are both committed, this business must be occupied and handled by itself. Moreover, we just started. About mileage, no problem. One hour by plane," said Ricis.
"If I'm having a da'wah or something else, Ricis is focused. Vice versa. We want to do business, so we have to think carefully," Oki added.
'Surabaya Patata' itself has five taste variants namely Black Patata with oreo flavor, nutella, banana peanut, green tea and also cheese.
Ricis and Oki have also created instagram @surabayapatata account as a container for them to approach 'Surabaya Patata' with the community. They always actively post pictures and also information about this Surabaya souvenirs cake.
"For marketing and others we also run together, I will continue to promo through Youtube and other social media to make 'Surabaya Patata' known and liked by the all community," said Ricis.
