Indonesia Welcome to USD2.5 Billion French Businessman Investments

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) welcomed his French counterpart Francois Hollande at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday. President Jokowi appreciates visit of Hollande to Indonesia. According to him, this visit is a historic visit.
"After nearly 31 years there has never been a visit French president to Indonesia," said Jokowi at the State Palace, Jakarta, Wednesday (29/3)
He also welcomes the new commitment from French businessman who has investments of $2.5 billion for energy sector, infrastructure and retail.
"Indonesia expressed appreciation to the French government that has helped fight discrimination against Indonesian palm oil products and I have made it clear that the issue of sustainability for palm oil is a priority for Indonesia," Jokowi said.
After welcome ceremony ended, Jokowi invited Hollande into the palace and held a veranda talk at the palaces rear park after signing the guest book.

During Hollandes state visit, President Jokowi was accompanied by Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi; Politics, Legal, and Security Affairs Minister Wiranto; Maritime Minister Luhut Pandjaitan; State Secretary Minister Pratikno; Minister of Commerce Enggartiasto Lukita; Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono; and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, among others.
