LONDON - Donald Trump Jr slammed London mayor Sadiq Khan after Wednesday’s attack in Westminster. Trump Jr said that based over comments the mayor made in an interview last year about terrorism.
This president’s son quoted an interview Khan did with the Evening Standard last September, following an explosion in the Chelsea district of New York that left 29 people injured. The Mayor said in the interview that terror attacks were “part and parcel of life in the big city”.

"It is a reality I'm afraid that London, New York, other major cities around the world have got to be prepared for these sorts of things. That means being vigilant, having a police force that is in touch with communities, it means the security services being ready, but also it means exchanging ideas and best practice," he told the Standard.
Trump linked to a report of the interview in a tweet, saying “You have to be kidding me?!”
His father, President Donald Trump has been briefed on the situation in London, describing attack in Westminster as "big news", but is yet to release an official statement.
Khan has already responded to the shooting unfolding outside the UK Parliament in Westminster, praising the work on the emergency services.
“There has been a serious incident near to Parliament Square this afternoon which is being treated as a terrorist attack until the police know otherwise. I have spoken to the Acting Commissioner. The Metropolitan Police Service is dealing with the incident and an urgent investigation is under way. My thoughts are with those affected and their families," he said.
“I would like to express my thanks to the police and emergency services who work so hard to keep us safe and show tremendous bravery in exceptionally difficult circumstances," he added.
