CIBINONG - Persib Bandung secured their third place in Presidents Cup 2017 after beating Semen Padang 1-0 in match at Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor on Saturday (11/3) night.
One winning goal printed Atep in first half to make sure third place. These results became healers for Persib disappointment which already lost the title. Maung Bandung earn a prize of Rp1 billion, while Semen Padang Rp500 million.
At beginning of match, Persib trying to take control of game from the kick off. A number of attacks was launched. But no one endanger Semen Padang goalkeeper.
Instead, Semen Padang, which rely on occasional counterattacks quite troublesome Persib defense. Even Semen Padang created two chances through Vendry Mofu in three and four minutes. But the free kick and kick distance away did not produce a goal.
