1,000 Percent Setya Novanto Name Called in e-KTP Case

JAKARTA - Some of names that will be referred in indictment of former Director of Information Management of the Population Administration General Directorate of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), Sugiharto and former Director General of Dukcapil MOHA, Irman in cases of alleged corruption procurement e-KTP project judged worthy named as a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Coordinator of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Society (MAKI) Boyamin Saiman sure the name of Speaker of the House, Novanto be referred by Commission in a case that allegedly state cost around Rp2.3 trillion.
"I am 1,000 percent sure Setya Novanto would be called in the indictment in the court. And soon after that, the Commission should set Novanto suspects, with a record of sufficient evidence," said Boyamin to SINDOnews, Tuesday (7/3).
He also considered, this be a test for the Commission to act independently. Therefore, Novanto who is also the chairman of Golkar Party close to the circles of power at this time.
"That's just it, this tested for the Commission have the courage to remove Novanto and Parliament must also vote of no confidence to remove Setya of the Speaker of the House," he said.
Boyamin claimed to have also received the indictment case of e-ID card circulating lately. In a letter Sugiharto and Irman indictment alleged that, a number of names are listed.
Starting from House Speaker Setya Novanto, member of parliament from Golkar Agun Gunandjar Sudarsa, member of Parliament from PAN Teguh Juwarno, member of Parliament from PDIP Arif Wibowo, member of Parliament from Hanura Miryam S Haryani, Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo, until former minister Gamawan Fauzi.
"I believe it (the charges outstanding) is true," he said.
Separately, House Speaker Setya Novanto was not worried if his name called in trial. Instead, he will take advantage of the momentum to clean up his name in case which caused state losses up to trillions of rupiah.
"If I am called, would be clarified," said Setya in the Parliament Building, Jakarta, Tuesday (7/3).
Chairman of Golkar Party admitted that he had conveyed to the detail and clearly to the Commission when examined some time ago. He added, clarification of it can facilitate the completion of KPK investigators in the case of e-KTP.
"Sometimes things are uncertain but it has already been issued, I expect this of course can be completed in a professional manner," he said.
