JAKARTA - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined dozens of officials in investigation of alleged corruption project of electronic identity cards (e-KTP) cases in Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA).
Total of 23 officials who had been investigated by KPK investigators among the members of Parliament. From 23 people who had been investigated, KPK spokesman, Febri Diansyah said there were indications of accepting a bribe in large quantities but do not cooperate.
"In this case is already 14 people returned money, but also be aware there are those who receive large amounts of money and not being cooperative," said Febri at KPK building, Jakarta, Monday (6/3).
Indications were based on evidence that is owned by the Commission after examination of witnesses as many as 23 people and will be delivered during the inaugural session of the suspect Sugiharto and Irman on 9 February 2017.
"We already have the evidence, just wait when the charges later," said Febri.
Previously, the Commission claimed not afraid to set anyone involved in corruption e-KTP project, even though the people involved who have great influence.
Vice Chairman of the Commission, Basaria Panjaitan confirms, the opinions of various parties who are concerned investigation of corruption cases of e-KTP unfounded.
According Basaria, indictments of two suspects who called a number of names have been submitted the Commission through the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
"Already we have proposed to the court and will not change it again. We've we decide to go forward. So do not worry. No way for Commission intervened. We're based on the evidence. Inevitably should remain walking," said Basaria in Jakarta, Monday (6/3) night.
Basaria asserts, the Commission in conducting the investigation based on evidence and supporting data. Institutions, she added, can not be pressured or pushed anyone including power. Include investigation of cases of alleged corruption procurement of e-KTP project.
