Officially Removed, Pertamina Seek Definitive CEO

JAKARTA - Two PT Pertamina (Persero) directors officially removed by government. Minister of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Rini Soemarno ensure, removal Dwi Soetjipto and Ahmad Bambang as CEO and Deputy CEO Pertamina is already results of consultation and approval of the President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Rini said Pertamina commissioners suggested to him to dismiss two directors from reins of leadership. She was immediately reported to Jokowi about it.
"I'm report to the President and he instruct me, so I've done," said Rini at the Ministry of SOEs, Jakarta, Friday (3/2).
Rini admitted, removal of two directors is suddenly did. Given that, commissioners recomended it yesterday. The Board of Commissioners considers problems of both will acute and would interfere with the company's performance.
"Yes (suddenly), because considered severe by the board of commissioners. So of course we have to respond. Alhmdullilah, directly given time by president, so we immediately reported it," she added.
In addition to dismiss both, Rini also decided to eliminate the post of vice president in composition of Pertamina's management. The Board of Commissioners considers that system was not right.
"Basically, the commissioners felt the system is not appropriate. Therefore, at the same time, position of vice CEO omitted," she said ,
For replced Dwi Soetjipto and Ahmad Bambang, government appointed Director of New and Renewable Energy Pertamina, Yenni Andayani as Acting CEO of PT Pertamina.
Commissioner of PT Pertamina, Tnri Abeng said there was no case behind this reshuffle directors. According to him, it only requires that the management board refreshment increasingly solid.
"There's no case really, acting CEO is Yenni Andayani. Yenni appointed based on seniority and other positions," he said, Friday (3/2).
This former Secretary of Ministry of SOEs believes, Yenni can carry out their duties properly. Yenni also believed to be able to cooperate with the company management.
"This is because the compatibility of human beings. This is not something new. It is better to look for new talent indeed. Yenni can cooperate and solid at Pertamina," he added.
Ministry of SOEs as shareholder gives 30 days to seek a definitive CEO. The Company will make an assessment if the prospective president definitive coming from outside Pertamina management.
"If search from outside Pertamina, we provide an assessment. Hopefully not until 30 days had no new appointment," said Tanri.
For information, Yenni Andayani a graduate law degree from Parahyangan University in 1988. Her career began in 1991 at PT Pertamina and was once believed to hold a position as Director of PT Nusantara Gas Company Services in Osaka, Japan, President Director of PT Donggi-Senoro LNG (2009 -2012) and Senior Vice President Gas and Power, Gas Directorate of PT Pertamina (Persero) (2013-2014).
