JAKARTA - Indonesia's independence which celebrated every August 17 from year to year has a special meaning for the author from Bali, Lusiana Sanato.
"Independence was a gift from God. Therefore, it is appropriate that our freedom to choose best use of the many options given by God," said Lusiana in Jakarta, Wednesday (17/8).
Women who turns 53 in this year hope the Indonesian people have begun to dare independent at the age of 71 years of independence in order to compete with other countries.
"We as a nation must be able to work to uphold the norms of national and state," said the author of the biography 'Jejak-jejak Sang Jenderal'.
Authors who were completing the Doctor of Laws program at the Jayabaya University also hopes people keep united and strong in front of other nations.
"Hopefully, with the independence of Indonesia for 71 years, our nation is more united, mutually support each other. Not blasphemous, no conflict, and better contribute to what is best for this beloved nation and country," she added.
Talk sense of the independence word, Lusiana has its own perception. Sense of the word independence thinks are free but not for abuse.
"Do not let the freedom we have to violate the rights of others. Simpel, such as the rights of the pedestrians on the sidewalk that must not be lost by motorists or PKL. In other words, freedom is a freedom but organized and orderly," she said.
