JAKARTA - Environmental campaigns must not only through conventional means. As did Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya, she will campaign for the environment through a series of films themed environment with the main target to the younger generation.
The films that will be used as campaign include the movie that won the overall champion of the International Film Festival for Health, Culture and Environment (IFFEHC) 2016 titled Home, directed by Frenchman Yann Arthus-Bertrand and also the musical film Lagu Untuk Alam by Natasha Dematra and a series of other environmental films.
Discussions held at the Ministry of Environment and Forests was attended by Minister Siti Nurbaya LHK Bakar, former Minister of State for Environment, Ir. Sarwono Kusumaatmadja, former Indonesian presidential spokesman, Wimar Witoelar, Echelon 1 and Echelon 2 LHK, environmental activists, Damien Dematra of IFFEHC and Creative People's Council (DKR).
"I support the screening of this film as part of an environmental campaign. The strength of the film Home one of them is a nice sound effects. So that the message can be delivered to all the people of Indonesia, the screening of the film must be supported by sound good," said Wimar Witoelar after watching a movie trailer Home.
This was addressed by the Minister Siti Nurbaya with the statement that a series of film will be screened for the students and Indonesian students in theaters.
"The film can change a nation," said Siti Nurbaya optimistic.
