JAKARTA - First appeared on a television (TV) show bring a lasting impression for The Kribo band. All sense suddenly become one, even the vocalist had tucked tongue because feeling groggy.
"Yeah last bit tucked away a little bit. There was a sense of nervous. It was the first play on TV. Feel tense too but thank in last smoothly," says The Kribo vocalist, Riyo after 'Selamat Malam Indonesia' (SMI) show in the ANTV studio, Saturday (16/7).
But that experience said Riyo became an important lesson for a band that has a unique appearance because of all personnel dressed with frizzy hair style as 1970's singer.
"Evaluation for us, we remain committed to continue to learn. Not afraid to fail, failing that a learning process," he explained.
Built with the different genre music, personnel The Kribo aware it still took a lot of their musical vision to unite.
"We were there from alternative, rock, jazz, pop british genre. In The Kribo we met. Finally complementary and we agree on The Kribo basic genre is rock melayu," said Wendi, the guitarist.
They are also aware if it is not easy to build a new band. Many struggles, ups and downs that must be overcome. Included in the band's vision, building a different character and put them together in a same musical vision.
"For example, in take voice, we are often a lot of difference. If we do not agreed, so we took the votes," explained the drummer, Faisal.
Uniquely, though different origin genre of music, all the personnel The Kribo claimed smitten with their single titled 'Gila Facebook' which creation by Hizrah Bacan. The reason is simple.
"The music is unique, the lyrics are easily digested. Easy listening.. more populist," said Wendi.
