JAKARTA - Confusion felt by director Damien Dematra. After won the Best Director award ini International Euro Film Festival in Marbela, Spain through film From Seoul To Jakarta, he received a scholarship worth 4000 Euro to master study in Cinematography Direction and Environment in Marbela.
"Honestly, I am upset to have to leave Indonesia for a long time. Minimum one year," said Damien when celebrate series of Best Award Damienand Natasha Dematra in US, Canada and Europe, recently.
But he admitted that he would reconsider the decision related to taking the scholarship.
"Moreover Marbela is a beautiful city. I will think about it again," Damien said.
Speaking of passion in their work, Damien said if this time he was more felt had a great passion for transmitting knowledge who he had.
"Also (transmitting knowledge) to my daughter Natasha. myself was already not too feel great if it wins an award. But there were happy too if I lose, yes there is Natasha," explained director of The Village Boy film.
To note, the winning streak Damien and Natasha in 2016 starting from the event through the California Film Awards film From Seoul To Jakarta (FSTJ), where Damien was awarded the prestigious Diamond Award in the category of Best Foreign Film.
Meanwhile, Natasha through the film Tears of Ghost awarded the Gold Award. Tears of Ghost is a movie was made by Natasha at age 15 and completed at the age of 17.
This film tells the story of an aspiring young architect who was working on the final project study by completing the construction of a half-finished house. Apparently, the house was to save many dark secrets.
