LONDON - A bus exploded on a bridge near Big Ben, London today. This explosion like an act of terrorism. Onlookers slammed the filming as reminiscent of the 7/7 London bombings, when terrorists attacked the public transport network in the nation's capital, killing 52 people. They spoke out about feeling sick after seeing the explosion.
"Was far enough away from Lambeth bridge to see bus blow up but not why, genuinely felt it in pit of my stomach," they said as reported by Mirror.
Another added: "Hey film types next time you blow up a bus on Lambeth bridge maybe tell us first so children in park aren't freaked?"
"Just watched a bus blow up on Lambeth bridge to find out its for a film," said a third adding a terrified emoji.
But dont worry, the London fire brigade eventually posted on their social media accounts confirming the explosion was for a film and not an attack. That is part of filming for 'The Foreigner' which used a bus blown up scene in London.
The Jackie Chan fronted movie is currently in production in the capital and earlier today a bus was driven along Lambeth Bridge before its roof was blown off in a shocking explosion. Not everyone who heard the explosion or witnessed the fireball it caused was made aware it was for a film
Former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan also stars in the film alonside Charlie Murphy and Stephen Hogan.
It is said to be based around Chan's character after his daughter is killed in a terrorist attack and he's denied justice, so instead he targets the terrorists for revenge. 'The Foreigner' is slated for release later this year.
