Indonesian 'Iron Man' Get Attention from Menristek

JAKARTA - Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Menristek) M. Natsir appreciate the innovations by I Wayan Sumardana alias Tawan which made robotic arm to help his work.
Natsir suspect Tawan technology used can be very complicated. For that, he will immediately check the Tawan findings to determine what approach to use.
"If proven (discovery), this is the first in the world," said Natsir last week.

He said that he will soon come to Bali to check the correctness of information about artificial robotic arm Tawan. If the findings Tawan is proven, the government will encourage become the industry.
"All the innovations of our nation's children will be able to be thrust to the industry," he said.
Tawan, a welder at Nyuhtebel village, Karangasem. His left hand paralyzed, therefore he made the robot hand from thrift to help work everyday.
