JAKARTA - The natural charm of Indonesia is not exhausted to be explored and collaborated with various things, including music. The idea of combining musical events with natural charm was increasingly prevalent in Indonesia.

After the success of Jazz Mountain, Prambanan Jazz and others, now emerging music festival that is not less interesting namely Senggigi Sunset Jazz 2017.

As the name implies, Senggigi Sunset Jazz held in Senggigi Beach, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The event is supported by the Government of West Lombok Regency was held on 22 and 23 September 2017.

"This event is actually the second time, in 2016 its name is Senggigi Beach Jazz and now become Senggigi Sunset Jazz," said Regent of West Lombok regency, Fauzan Khalid in Jakarta, Monday (18/9).

Reflecting on the first event, Fauzan is optimistic this second season will also return to success.

"Last year, despite the limited time, preparations and the first one was held, the event was amazingly successful and the public welcome was so incredible. This year we have a successful conviction organized because the preparation is really mature," said Fauzan.

The committee provides two stages in the event Senggigi Sunset Jazz 2017, namely Rinjani Stage and Tambora Stage. With the Senggigi beach which is beautifully styled, Senggigi Sunset Jazz 2017 will be a perfect treat between music and natural beauty.

"At night we will see the lights on the island across from Bali, so from the beginning we said that this harmony between nature plus the local ethnic. We have this confidence blend bring out extraordinary beauty and contribute to jazz music," said Fauzan.

A number of local and international musicians will enliven at this event. From within the country, present famous jazz musicians such as Tohpati, Indro Hardjodikoro, Syahrani & Queenfireworks, Yura Yunita, Tesla Manaf, Ricad Hutapea Project and others. While from abroad, will present Norma Jean (US), Line (Japan), and Cellomano (Venezuela).

Interestingly, concept of environmentally friendly stage will be used in this event.

"There are two stage and both of us use environmentally friendly materials such as bamboo," said Ais from Jazz and World Music who participated in this event.

He said if there is any synthesis material used in the making of the stage, then the material is recycled material. It chose to use recycled materials because Indonesia became one of the largest countries that throw plastic waste into the sea.

"We see now the beach is full of plastic waste, for that we want to campaign environmentally friendly lifestyle with it," he said.
