JAKARTA - Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) is required to sanction first to the Mitra Keluarga Kalideres Hospital related to death of infant Tiara Debora Simanjorang.

This was conveyed by members of Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR), Ansory Siregar. He considered the sanctions need to be imposed to provide the lessons for the hospital.

"So this is mam (Menkes, red), so instead of calling, just sanctions first," said Ansory in Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Ministry of Health in Parliament Building, Jakarta, Monday (11/9).

The sanction is to prohibit the hospital open registration for new patients.

"Administration of the new entry, close first," he explained.

Things like this, he said, just like the police officers who catch the criminals first, then processed.

"This is already a victim mam. Died because it did not enter (PICU, red) this. Temporarily close the registration first, it sanctions firmly in there," he said.

While patients who have been hospitalized it still must get treatment.

"(If closed, red) there are hospitals around. As a lesson for them (Mitra Keluarga hospital) mam," he added.

Furthermore, he said, the hospital could be allowed to re-open the registration for new patients if indeed found no violation of the death of Debora.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Health Agency (Dinkes) has been digging up some information from the Mitra Keluarga Kalideres Hospital management related to the death of Debora. They stated from the medical side there is no mistake of postponement of action due to cost requested.

Head of Jakarta Health Agency, Koesmedi Priharto, revealed that the director of Mitra Keluarga Hospital refused to delay the medical service, resulting in the death of Debora.

"We are exploring the real data from hospital," said Koesmedi, Monday (11/9).

Nevertheless, continued Koesmedi, the hospital did not deny the cost to take care of Debora in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). Then, there was a misunderstanding between the hospital management and the information about the delivery to the victim's family.

"There is a negligence from the hospital, although they are also looking for referrals to other hospitals by phone," he said.

Koesmedi added that there was a technical error between Deborah's family and the hospital.

However, in relation to the inability to pay for the care it should be disregarded, especially in this case, Debora's family already has a BPJS card.

"It should use PICU first until stable, the cost of later, can be billed to BPJS," said Koesmedi.

As is known, Tiara Debora Simanjorang, 4-month-old baby died at the ERS Family Hospital Kalideres Hospital, recently. Debora died because the hospital refused to take care of Debora in the PICU room. The reason, the money of the baby's parents, Rudianto Simanjorang and Henny Silalahi could not meet the maintenance money demanded by the hospital. The RS handed down the maintenance fee at PICU for Rp19,800,000. While Debora's parents only have Rp5 million.
