Indonesia Sport Achievement Touch The Lowest Level in Southeast Asia

KUALA LUMPUR - Ahead of closing of the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Indonesia is in fifth position with the acquisition of 38 gold medals, 63 silver and 90 bronze. This result is the worst throughout Indonesia perform.
Indonesia first plunge in the SEA Games Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1977. The struggle of the Red and White contingent at that time ended as the overall champion with the acquisition of 62 gold, 41 silver, 34 bronze.
Since then, Indonesia has 10 times tasted the title. Finally, Indonesia dominated the medal achievement at SEA Games 2011 which took place in Jakarta and Palembang after collecting 182 gold medals.
Instead of maintaining the achievement, Indonesia is declining in its efforts to dominate the SEA Games medal gains. This year, Indonesia reached the lowest level during the performance at the biggest Games in Southeast Asia.
Vice President, Jusuf Kalla itself has disappointed about this fact. He expressed hope that Indonesian athletes will increase training in order to create better achievements in the Asian Games 2018 than in the SEA Games 2017.
"Frankly speaking, we are disappointed at it (our achievement in the SEA Games) because it fell short of the target. Therefore, we still have one year to increase training for the Asian Games," he said here on Tuesday.
Indonesia will host the Asian Games from Aug 18 to Sept 2, 2018. The Asian Games will feature 41 sports events, consisting of 33 Olympic sports events and eight non-Olympic sports events.
