Considering Indonesia Target to Become World Tourism Park

JAKARTA - World Tourism Park (WTP) Forum targeting Indonesia as a World Tourism Park in the next one year period. How to more vigorously promote the attractions of Indonesia abroad in the form of different promotions.
"Not only to build packaging, but how to prepare the system. So that all people in the region can move in synergy between the central, provincial, district and city," said CEO of WTP Foundation, Daniel Kumendong in Jakarta, recently.
As is known, the declaration of the World Tourism Park program was originally going to be declared in 2017 WTP Forum event that planned will be attended by President Jokowi in November 2017.
In order to achieve these targets, WTP cooperates with the Ministry of Home Affairs, especially with local leaders to determine the attractions that will be prioritized for promotion.
In addition, the WTP Forum also appointed some celebrities to become Indonesia tourism ambassadors to further encouraged tourism promotion of Indonesia. They include Nadine Chandrawinata as the marine tourism ambassador, Naila Novaranti as ambassador of air tourism and designer Leni Agustin as cultural tourism ambassador.

As one of the ambassadors, Lenny Agustin claimed have a picture related to her new responsibility. She ready to help local traditional clothing fashion craftsmen in various regions so that the results of its production to be class and favored by tourists who come to Indonesia from various countries.
"Actually, fashion world is closely related to tourism, but it has not been encouraged in Indonesia yet. People travel to other countries to see the uniqueness of fashion such as Italy, France, Thailand and some other countries," Lenny said.
Fashion, she says can be a powerful promotion for the tourism sector.
"If we go to Korea, in every corner of tourism there is a rental place their regional clothes, other than that they sell souvernir. As in Netherlands, we go there one of them for Dutch men and women dress shirt," she added.
Back in the target, in addition to the above mentioned targets, WTP Forum will also invite the public to choose 9 out of 45 leading tourist destinations from 34 provinces throughout Indonesia as well as have inventoried Indonesia's top 10 tourism potentials covering nature tourism, marine tourism, cultural tourism, historical tourism, culinary tourism, agro tourism, shopping tourism, fashion tourism and MICE tourism.
