JAKARTA - Many ways to celebrate the 72nd Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. And FoxyMuse did it by launching a remix of the national song titled 'Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa' by L Manik.
Bands which filled with Putri (vocals), Cindy Permata (vocals), Amanda Prasyta (keyboards), Paulus Priyadi (bass), Gerald Smith (drums) and Rio Hamonangan (guitar) are trying to reinterpret song 'Satu Nusa Satu Bangsa' in lighter nuances, easy listening and simple.
"We want songs with theme of nationalism can be a daily life of millenial's who now spend much time in social media and listen to a variety of songs," said Putri in Jakarta, recently.
Regarding reason they launched this song to celebrate the Independence Day, Putri reasoned that so far the national songs were only sung at certain times only, especially at the moments related to the celebration of nationality.
"Since the beginning, FoxyMuse has been covering a lot of western songs, Indonesian songs as well as national and regional songs. As a beginner, FoxyMuse uploaded the songs on YouTube, but the lack of national songs pushed FoxyMuse to work more for the nation, The national anthem can continue to be echoed and enjoyed back through today's popular genre," said FoxyMuse Manager, Batara Victor.
