MD Pictures Insists if 'Danur' Parody is Illegal

JAKARTA - The news that calls if film 'Danur' will be made parody version opposed by the producer, Manoj Punjabi.
"I do not accept, we have sent a letter to their party on Friday (19/5) and I have also sent a letter of objection to the cinema, we ask not to be aired," said Manoj after celebrate succes of 'Danur' in Jakarta, Monday (22/5).
Manoj realized if film 'Danur' successful able to penetrate up to 2.7 million viewers make many parties tempted. Typically, horror film genre only able to penetrate the number tens or hundreds of thousands of spectators only.
"It's a masterpiece of a nation that is worthy of respect, they do not permit or excuse to us, I do not think there's any ethics. In Hollywood, a movie which made parodically must have permission," Manoj said.
This MD Pictures boss judging, parody maker of 'Danur' just want to take advantage and want to damage image of 'Danur'.
"We work not only for money. I do not say money is not important, but this is the result of hard work of many parties as well," said Manoj.
In line with Manoj, writer of 'Danur' novel, Risa Sarasvati also regretted parody of this film. Risa objected because it was difficult to ask permission to his ghost friends to be filmed.
"Actually I really thank for appreciate 'Danur', but if it becomes a kind of 'Scary Movie' or a parody, to ask permission to them (spirits) for made the film, I'm hardly ask," said Risa .
For known, 'Danur' now being made parody with the title 'Ngawur' and has been undergoing filming shooting on Monday, May 22. Shooting location is also the same as the location of the movie 'Danur'.
