Police Academy Cadets Suspect Adam Killer Pick up by Police

SEMARANG - Investigator from General Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Direskrimum) Central Java Police picked up 14 cadets of Police Academy (Akpol) who became suspect of beatings and torture that led to the death of Brigadir Taruna (Brigdatar) M. Adam on Sunday (21/5).
"This afternoon was picked up by investigator for examination at Central Java Police office, now still in BAP," said Head of Public Relations of Central Java Police, Commisaris Pol Djarod Padakova, Sunday (21/5) night.
When confirmed, whether the suspects will be directly detained, Djarod not dare to comment on it.
"We are still in the BAP, we have 1x24 hour check period, if I have issued the arrest warrants, they will arrested. Until now I have not informed (the detention order)," he continued.
The 14 suspects who were picked up were all Level III cadets. The main suspect had the initials CAS, who was beating the victim until he died. While 13 suspects had initials RLW, GCM, EA, JED, MB, CAE, HA, I, GJN, RAP, RK, IZ, PDS.
They were charged under Article 170 concerning beatings in Article 351 paragraph (3) of the persecution in Article 55 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code. The threat of punishment up to 12 years in prison.
Police also secured 18 pieces of evidence, including rackets, plastic rods, to belts. Other evidence, aluminum tube of 60 cm long, one red bike slot lock and a glove.
Head of Subdit III Jatanras Ditreskrimum Central Java Police, Adjunt Commisaris Nanang Haryono justify if the suspects were picked up from Akpol for investigate.
"This examination will be temporarily suspended and resumed on Monday (22/5).The suspects are investigated by the investigator in suspect status and accompanied by legal counsel," said Nanang.
The incident that killed Adam began on Wednesday (17/5) night. After night, Level II cadets ordered by Level III cadets to face. The reason is because of a junior error to his senior. They were then assembled, including Adam. Eventually Adam was beaten to death.
This crime scene occurred at Flat A, Graha Taruna Detachment Level III which is a 4x8 meter warehouse. Adam died in Thursday (19/5) at 03.00 am in the morning.
