JAKARTA - Fahd El Fouz (FEF) alias Fahd A Rafiq, chairman of Youth and Sports Golkar Party, was named again as a suspect in alleged bribery related to the procurement budget of the Al Quran in Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) in 2011-2012.
Man who is also the Chairman of Youth Generation Golkar Party (AMPG) is allegedly together with former Commission VIII members of the House of Representatives, Zulkarnaen Djabar and Dendy Prasetyo receive gifts or promises from certain parties.
"KPK raises the status of FEF (Fahd El Fouz) to investigation stage," said KPK spokesman, Febri Diansyah at KPK Building, Jakarta, Thursday (4/27).
For his actions, Fahd suspected of violating Article 12 Sub-Article b subsidair Article 5 Paragraph (2) Juncto Paragraph (1) Sub-Paragraph b, more Subsidair Article 11 of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption as amended by Act Number 20/2001 Juncto Article 55 Paragraph (1) to-1 and Article 65 of Criminal Code.
For information, Fahd is third suspect in the case. Previously, Jakarta Corruption Court has sentenced a 15 year jail term and a fine of Rp300 million subsider a month of confinement to Zulkarnaen Djabar. In addition, eight years imprisonment and a fine of Rp300 million subsider four months of confinement to Dendy Prasetya Zulkarnaen Putra.
Fahd who is also the son of dangdut singer, A Rafiq was never imprisoned for being proven to bribe Member of Banggar from (PA N), Waode Nurhayati related to management of infrastructure adjustment funds (DPID). But in the case of DPID, Fahd Rafiq has been free.
