JAKARTA - Campaign of 'Clean, safe and dignified Public Toilets for the Benefit of Tourism' now become a serious concern. This is now actively conducted Indonesian Toilet Association along Clean Expo 2017 organizer.
"The public toilets are environmentally friendly is a need that has been overlooked. The Ministry of Environment and Forests (KLH-K) considers important issues of public toilets that are environmentally friendly is one of the goals of sustainable development is to ensure access to clean water and sanitation for all people in a sustainable manner," said Minister of Environment and Forestry, Siti Nurbaya Bakar when opening South East Asia Toilet (SEAT) Conference and Clean Expo & Laundry Expo 2017 in Jakarta, Thursday (24/3).
Decent public toilets is still an issue that is being resolved, therefore KLH-K and the Ministry of Transportation appreciates the cooperation with the Indonesian Toilet Association to resolve the issue of sanitation.
"When done together, then this will be a big job more easily and quickly resolved to support the achievement of the target of 20 million foreign tourists visit in 2019," said Deputy Assistant Governance and Community Empowerment Destinations Ministry of Tourism, Oneng Setya Harini.
Ministry of Transportation as regulator and provider of the airport for the whole of Indonesia itself has long clean up in the provision of public toilets. Users airports in Indonesia diverse social classes, the number was increased along with the increased number of tourist visits. Because the airport management has always been committed to provide toilets in sufficient quantities and is well maintained in order to leave a positive impression for all visitors.
"Toilet reflect the cultural and economic conditions of a nation. Because the Indonesian Toilet Association since 2002 consistently communicate with various ministries to campaign for public toilet provision and maintenance of a viable and environmentally friendly. We know this is not an easy process, it took two decades to build the character of the nation were clean and can appreciate the toilet," said Chairman of the Indonesian Toilet Association, Naning Adiwoso.
SEAT Conference was held within the framework of the exhibition Clean Expo & Laundry Expo 2017 conducted for the 4th time on 23-25 March 2017.

Clean Expo is a trade show featuring a variety of hygiene products and technologies, ranging from the cleanliness of commercial, industrial hygiene, public hygiene, to home and personal hygiene. While the Laundry Expo is a trade show featuring a variety of products and laundry machines.
"Clean Expo & Laundry Expo will feature a wide range of technologies, products and industrial hygiene and laundry services are efficient and up to date.
