JAKARTA - Association of Singer, Composer and Musician of the Republic of Indonesia (PAPPRI) immediately left by chairman, Tantowi Yahya who will perform tasks of the country. As is known, in third week of March, Tantowi began performing his duties as the Ambassador to New Zealand, Samoa and Tonga.
"I should go to New Zealand in second week of March, but towards the end position as Chairman of PAPPRI in March anyway, then the corresponding mandate from AD/ART organization should hold a congress to choose a new chairman on March 10 to 12 next. So my departure delayed a week," said Tantowi at time of PAPPRI 2017 celebration and dialogue in Jakarta, Saturday (18/2).
At that event, Tantowi also farewell to the entire board of PAPPRI.
For chairman candidates, some candidates name surfaced. Anang Hermansyah, Ayu Soraya and AM Hendropriyono name widely known.
"The proposed of these candidates are open, please just raised. The candidate should be close to the musicians or musical artists. Close to the music industry and related organizations such as KCI, ASIRI, Wami, AMI. No less important is the proximity to business and government and has increased interest in PAPPRI," said Tantowi.
