JAKARTA - The first congress of Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) under the stewardship of new Chairman, Edy Rahmayadi has produced several decisions regarding the agenda and schedule for the national team and commencement of soccer competition in this year.

As stated by the Deputy Chairman of PSSI, Joko Driyono, several decisions were taken, agenda of football competition in the highest caste (ISL), First Division, Liga Nusantara, youth (U-15), Soeratin Cup (U-17) and Pertiwi Cup.

Joko also said that number of teams that will be promotion and relegation at the end of the season is still to be determined.

"It may will be met with if the conditions are balanced," he said as quoted from
PSSI official website, Monday (9/1).

PSSI also plans to make significant changes regarding number of participants for First Division 2018 season.

"When 32 clubs registered to First Division in 2017 is planned to be trimmed to only 24 clubs in 2018
season. Later, from 24 clubs will be divided into two regions," explained Joko.

Besides
homeland football competition, PSSI congress at Bandung, Sunday (8/1) also discussed about preparation of Indonesia national team. However, PSSI is still busy with coach candidate list.

There are three candidates for Indonesia
coach from Senior National Team, U-22, U-19 or U-16. Especially for Senior National Team, the coach will be combined with the U-22 national team.

Chairman of
PSSI, Edy Rahmayadi declared for the senior national team and U-22, will be trained foreign coach.

"The candidates are two, namely Luis Fernandez and Luis Milla," said Edy.

Edy added, Indra Sjafri and Wolfgang Pikal entered into strongest candidate to coach U-19 national team. And for U-16 national team, two candidates are Rudy Eka Priyambada and Fachri Husaini.

"We still continue to finalize and consider which of the candidates is the most fitting," said Edy.

Furthermore, the Vice Chairman of PSSI emphasize certainty about the national coach will be decided as soon as possible.

"Indonesia coach will be announced one week after this. Hopefully it could be done as soon as possible," said Joko Driyono.

Here are the full results PSSI congress in 2017:
1. The highest caste football competition (ISL) will begin on March 26, 2017
2. Main Division began early April
3. Liga Nusantara started in April at the Asprov
4. Young age
competition such as U-15 will begin in February and May
5. U-17 Cup alias Soeratin from March to June
6. Pertiwi Cup from March to June.

U-22
2017 SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur in August-September

U-19
AFF Cup 2017 in Myanmar in September.

U-16
AFF Cup 2017 in Thailand or Singapore in July.

Indonesia
women national team
AFF Women's Cup in Thailand in July 2017.

Centering Exercise:
U-22
Will conduct training camp for approximately one and a half months from February to April 2017. In May and July, they are scheduled to test in Spain.

U-16
Will undergo a training camp from April to June 2017. In July, they will head to Singapore for a trial.

Women's National team
Undergoing training camp in the country in May and June 2017. In July, they will head to Singapore for a trial.

U-19
Conduct training camp in June-August 2017. A month later, they will conduct a trial to Thailand.
