JAKARTA - Are you ever imagined the price of a fabric which a hundred years old? The value equivalent of a Rolls Royce and New Mercedes Benz S-Class. So, who has that fabric owner and there are the fabric has been transferred from the original owner?
The answer turns out at House of Marsya Weaving & Songket Bali boutique in Pondok Indah, South Jakarta. Anna Mariana, the owner told, her Balinese songket which legacy of King Bali was 130 years old.
"I have songket ranging from 130 years ago. Incidentally my husband still descendants of royal Bali. The king gives this fabric to me because it was believed in my hand cloth will not be pawned," said Anna Mariana on the sidelines receiving guests from Consultative Society (Bamus) Betawi at her boutique, recently.

She continued, when Non-Aligned Summit takes place in Indonesia, she follows an exhibition held at a meeting of the heads of state, including entering exhibiting the fabric legacy of King Bali. Suddenly, there was a man who offered to exchange it with a New Mercedes Benz S-Class and Rolls Royce car which used by heads of state who participated in the Non-Aligned summit.
"Although it has not yet, but it seems my struggle for decades is not comparable to my investment, my dedication to the nation. I think no limit to the price of the historical legacy of this nation," she said.
Currently, Anna which already work in 33 years for development of woven fabric and songket in the archipelago are pioneering weaving and songket Betawi. Where in this case Betawi culture has never existed.
"There was only a batik cloth with a pattern of flowers with always a motive Ondel-Ondel. Production is then simply known as the fabric of batik, batik, batik printing. Existing fabric or non-woven songket which the manufacturing process still uses traditional woven or worked with hand-made process," said Anna.

Because of this, Anna who is also Chairman of the Yayasan Sejarah Kain Tenus Nusantara want pioneered birth and songket weaving is typical of Betawi.
"In the matter of design, I still would lift the original motives and does not eliminate his trademark," said Anna, who also collaborates with the Secretary of State (Sekneg) in the development of local songket motifs.
