JAKARTA - Related to widespread use of the bus horn 'Om Telolet Om' that was become viral today, Minister of Transportation, Budi Sumadi appealed to all bus operators to alert the bus driver was not playing the horn to much.
"We see that activity something fun, but also dangerous. Therefore, we urge that the bus operators do not make it as a new show that could harm the public," Budi said in Jakarta, Wednesday (21/12).
It will examine whether the future will be enforced ban on the consideration of the impact on safety driving itself.

Based on Government Regulation No 55/2012 On vehicles, the rules on the horn sounds in Article 69 as referred to in Article 64 paragraph (2), the lowest is 83 eight desiBell (dB) and a maximum of 118 desiBell.

Head of Communications and Public Information Ministry of Transportation, Bambang S Ervan said, it was important to study whether the harm came from the horn or the activities of children who asked the driver turning on the horn.
The reason, according to him, as long as does not exceed the limit according to the rules stated in Government Regulation No. 55/2012 On Vehicle, then it does not include offenses.
"If it is still appropriate provisions, it will not pollute the air, but if it is out of the activities of her children," he said.
