MEDAN - An outlet with concept of experience which implementation of a sustainable expansion strategy was relaunched by Amway Indonesia. With the aim of presenting a new shopping experience for its customers, outlet named Amway Flagship Store (AFS) was opened in Medan on Tuesday (25/10).
"There is an interest and a high appreciation of Amway products in Medan, and it is this which prompted the company to open its Amway Flagship Store in this town," said Chief Operating Officer of Amway Global, Michael Cazer during opening of AFS Medan.
Currently, there are over 250 Amway products derived from line five major product categories, namely nutrition, beauty, home care products and home appliances.
"Nutrilite is a vitamin and dietary supplements with sales number one in the world. These products accounted for 50 percent of total company sales in both the global scale as well as in Indonesia," he explained.
Furthermore, Mike explains, AFS will play an important role in improving the availability of and exposure to the Amway products.
"A new approach adopted by Amway is to visit the AFS, customers can try the product, view product demos, and learn about the research and development of products that do Amway," said Mike.
On that occasion, Koen Verheyen, President of Amway Indonesia, explained, Medan is an important market for Amway, where the city accounted for 15 percent of total Amway business in Indonesia. That is, the field is the second largest market after Jakarta with 10 percent average sales growth.
"The growth rate is driven by the talent and entrepreneurial skills that are so ingrained in most Medan societies," said Koen.
He added, with an investment of 1.5 million US dollars, this outlet has the experience area facilities, training rooms, center of product retrieval and office space.
"The facilities available are resources that can be exploited by the perpetrators of the Amway business or Amway Business Owners (ABO). In AFS, prospects and customers they can meet and learn more about Amway business opportunities and Amway products," said Koen.
Prior to Medan, in 2015, Amway has also opened AFS outlets in Jakarta.
