JAKARTA - Crew of the tanker (AMT) PT Pertamina Patra Niaga threatened to strike on November 1, 2016. If this action took place, confirmed the supply of fuel to 850 gas stations in Jabodetabek, including Puncak and Sukabumi, would be disrupted.

Chairman of the Federation of Indonesia Port Transport Workers (FBTPI), Ilham Syah as the AMT organization confirms plan of protests.

He explains, they threatens termination of fuel supply held simultaneously in Jakarta and surrounding areas in early November. The action will be carried out until their demands are met by the management of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga (PPN).

"AMT PPN has reached the limits of patience. We will do strike from November 1 until the time limit is not determined until our demands are met," said Ilham in Jakarta, Monday (24/10).

During this time, according to him, the rights of workers who had worked dozen years as the AMT never given by management. Earlier, a similar action ever done, but PT PPN ignored and instead discriminate against AMT.

He explained, though it was working with a dozen years working period, about 1,000 workers were still a freelancer (outsourcing). They work for 12 hours, even more every day with the UMP without paid overtime wages for the excess hours of work every day.

"They are also discriminated against by not getting the benefits of oil and gas money, such as Pertamina workers more to get oil and gas allowance every year," he said.

Although the strike will cause people difficult to get fuel, it would be forced to carry it out. He apologizes for the inconvenience that will happen and hope people understand because the fate of workers AMT.

"We apologize for the interruption of fuel distribution in all Pertamina gas station. A strike is our journey as PPN
would not listen to our aspirations," he said.

The FBTPI demands that will be voiced on strike action are as follows:

1. Remove all workers in the workplace PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Depot Plumpang as permanent employees.
2. Pay overtime for the excess hours of work since October 2011 until September 2016.
3. Pay overtime when AMT I and II are assigned as a unit clerk (task force) while serving the supply of fuel even on religious holidays for Muslims.
4. Pay the money and gas that are not provided by PT PPN since 2011 to workers (crew AMT I & II, the OB cs, and dispet).
5. Apply 7 hours work a day or 40 hours in a week.
6. Stop the intimidation to the workers who are members of FBTPI in any form.

Meanwhile, for response this action, Vice President of Corporate Communications of Pertamina, Wianda Pusponegoro asked that management of PT PPN resolve the issue amicably.

"We as a parent of Patra Niaga requested that management PPN could finish and dialogue with the crew of the AMT for best possible way," says Wianda in Jakarta.

For fuel distribution is not disturbed, Pertamina has made steps in anticipation.

"We have prepared steps for example and then working with the team or later support other workers in order to ensure that the fuel remains distributed," said Wianda.
