AMSTERDAM - Young Indonesian director, Natasha Dematra won award again. This time, Amsterdam International Film Festival gave the highest award to the Tears of Ghost movie. Tears of Ghost who has won dozens of awards, awarded the Grand Jury Prize Van Gogh Award, the highest award at the festival.
"I feel very touched by this award. With increasing row award for the film Tears of Ghost, indicating that the Indonesia film has been able to be coupled with films from around the world," said Natasha, recently.
Gina McClain, director of the festival said that the election of the movie Tears of Ghost because art is poured into the film so deserves the highest award. She said, the film is well made and with a unique touch that she rarely found in other films.
Amsterdam International Film Festival itself is a film festival which is located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This festival has been going on for six years. The festival often choose films from around the world by associating them with the painter Van Gogh is famous for his paintings that are works of art the best, most famous, and most expensive in the world. Van Gogh is regarded as one of the greatest painters in European art history. Power of cinematography becomes a major consideration in this festival.
Natasha Dematra itself is the world's youngest female director is officially registered in the agency world record through the 'Mama Aku Harus Pergi' movie. She earned the award at the age of 10 years. Until now Natasha has received more than 100 awards. Film Ghost Tears of a film made by Natasha when age 15 years and was completed when the age of 17 years.
This film has around the world since June 2015 to various international festivals. Until now, the film has won dozens of international awards from the Award of Merit in the category Best Film of San Francisco, four awards interanasional of Global Independent Film Awards, Best Award Of Recognition of Accolade Global Competition, two awards of Depth Of Field Festival, Choice Gold award from the Oregon Internastional Film awards, three awards for Best Main Actor category, Best Editor, Best Director of the International Independent Film awards, Best Newcomer Director of the American Movie awards and many others. In this film Natasha concurrently as director, main character, Producer, Editor, Soundtrack singer and Colorist.
The film itself is about a young architect who is working on a college project through a half-finished new house which turned out to save a lot of dark secrets. This film starring Natasha Dematra, Pagitha Ross, Roman Dman, Ageng Kiwi, Abah Ukam, Rona Aronna, Herdi Good, Novitasari, Dino R. Payapo etc.
