After Freed, Indonesia Hostage Invited to Dinner

SULU - Ten Indonesian hostages has been released by militant Abu Sayyaf. Now the hostages were in the official residence of the Governor of Sulu in Philippines. They are fed by the governor at the governor's mansion as reported by private television broadcast. This makes it even more convinced that they was free.

Around 18:00 pm, the President Joko Widodo has also announced the release of the hostages. He said they would soon arrive in Jakarta from Zamboanga on tonight.

President Joko Widodo stated that the government is still working hard to release four more hostages after 10 crew (ABK) Indonesian citizen can be freed from the clutches of the Abu Sayyaf in Philippines.

"Currently we are still working hard for the release of four other crew citizen," said Jokowi at Bogor Palace, Sunday (1/5).

Police identified the crew members as Peter Tonson, Julian Philip, Alvian Elvis Peti, Mahmud, Surian Syah, Surianto, Wawan Saputria, Bayu Oktavianto, Reynaldi and Wendi Raknadian.

A source said ransom was paid to the kidnappers.
