JAKARTA - Trying to remain ideal at this time is not an easy thing. In the movie world it is perceived by filmmaker Damien Dematra. Repeatedly his International movie product stuck when faced with the Indonesian film industry.
"Imagine, how can my film Lets Play Ghost which posters are already two weeks in cinema mounted, but fit the day of its going through down without cause. And not long after that, another film which had same theme appeared," said Demian to Sindonews, recently.
He understood why it happened. Not just this once experienced anything like this movie. Already more than 60 films that have caught up. While it is in the Lets Play Ghost is the one which he felt most severe.
"But abroad this film has won nearly 20 awards. Most recently and I think the most remarkable received the Best Director award from the American Movie Awards in 2015 yesterday," he said.
Although he admitted to not want to compromise with 'eccentric' is happening in the world of Indonesian filmmakers, he still felt apprehensive. Men are also the best-selling novelist is worried this would be a presure group.
"For me, work is not too concerned with the commerciality, but still it is not healthy for world filmmakers at Indonesia," said the father of Natasha, one of the youngest directors in the country.

"For a while I focus more of my films to international film festivals," he said diplomatically.
And this also applies to his latest film, From Seoul to Jakarta's which award winning in Global Independent Film Award and earned seven nominations, including Best Feature Film, Humanitarian Award, Best Faith Based Film, Best Musical, Best Special Effects, Best Choeropgraphy, and Best production Design.
