JAKARTA - Jakarta Police (Polda Metro Jaya) became one of ISIS' attack targets in Indonesia. The threat had already announced by Santoso aka Abu Wardah, who claimed himself as the leader of Jamaan Indonesia Timur through a video that circulated in social media.

Jakarta Police Chief (Kapolda Metro Jaya) Inspector General Tito Karnavian confirmed the threat. "We know what we want to confirm that the voice is his (Santoso). He could be the one who created for such recording," said Tito at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (23/11).

Tito had ordered all of his personnel to stay alerted and improve the security due to the threat. He also said that the police had increased surveillance and been mapping the movement of terrorist networks in Indonesia, especially in Jakarta.

"We certainly increase security at the police. Not only security, but we will also be strictly monitoring the groups in Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok and Bekasi," said Tito.

According to Tito, the police had not receive any directinformation linked to the possibility of terrorist acts in Jakarta. But, by monitoring the terrorist network, including ISIS, the police will locate and assess the capacity of the network.

"I have to say, there is some existing terrorist cells in Jakarta. But we have not been able to get further information about the possibility of a real attack plan and their ability to carry the attack," Tito said.

A suspected video containing sound recordings by Santoso was circulating on social media like Facebook. The video titled The Commander's Call, Abu Wardah Ash-Syarqi was uploaded by an account under the name of Muhammad Bahrunnaim Anggih Tamtomo.

The video featured an ISIS flag and an figure of man suspected to be Santoso. The 9 minutes and 35 seconds recordings also mentioned threat to the Indonesian Government.
