JAKARTA - Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Imam Nahrawi officially signed a Letter of Intention (LoI), which one of the requirements to host one of the series most prestigious motor racing championship in the world of MotoGP in 2017.

"It's true. Menpora just signed a letter of intent and will soon be sent to Dorna least 20 November," said Head of Public Communication Kemenpora, Gatot S Dewa Broto in his press conference on Tuesday.

LoI was signed by a person other than the number one in Kemenpora will also be signed by Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta. This LoI indicate if Indonesia is serious to hold the most prestigious motor racing championship in the world.

In accordance with the stages released at by Carmelo Ezpeleta during a visit to Indonesia some time ago, the LoI is very necessary because it will be basis for the fight for Indonesia to host MotoGP in the meeting with the international motorcycle federation or FIM.

In accordance with the plan, FIM meeting that one of the agenda set including MotoGP racing calendar in 2017 will be held in Vienna, Austria, November 21. In addition to the LoI, the requirements to be met by Indonesia is the master plan 2017 MotoGP plans.

"The draft master plan and draft presidential decree is under completion and it can be proposed then as soon as desired by the promoter Dorna is this LoI," said Gatot added.

Indonesian government's determination in this regard and the Ministry of Tourism to Kemenpora to hold motor racing championship is quite serious. Even the government's coordination of both institutions continues to be done, including the business Sentul International Circuit.

Before the signing of this LoI, even in this case Kemenpora government has sent official notification to Dorna two months ago. It also indicates if the Indonesian government seriously to support the implementation of the 2017 MotoGP.

"Once the LoI, the contract will be solved also between the Indonesian government and Dorna later than January 30, 2016.
