Case Suspended, Two Legal Proceedings Prepared by Rapporteur of Yusuf Mansur

JAKARTA - Respond issue of a warrant for suspension of investigation (SP3) by East Java Police regarding the alleged case of fraud and embezzlement with the reported Ustadz Yusuf Mansur (UYM), the reporting parties are planning to conduct legal proceedings.
"We only know the existence of this SP3 from the online media, we have not received yet the official letter from East Java Police," said Darso Arief Bakuama as reporting partiesaccompanied by his lawyer, Rahmat K.Siregar in Jakarta, Saturday (30/9).
Rahmat asserted that if there is a deviation in investigation of this case by police or found irregularities in the procedures, it will report to Provost Division and at once report back the case to National Police Headquarters.
"We will also take a pre-trial," Rahmat said.
Rahmat hopes the police can see this case as an important issue, especially now that many fraudulent cases are revealed in investment under the guise of religion.
"The police should be more proactive in the investigation. Do not wait until there are many new victims processed correctly," said Rahmat.
Previously, Directorate of Criminal Investigation of East Java Police has issued SP3 on this case because it is considered less evidence.
"After the title of the case, the result of the decision is not enough evidence, so we decide to stop the investigation," said Head of Subdit Harda Bangtah, AKBP Yudhistira in Surabaya on Saturday (30/9).
The case was handled by East Java Police with report number 742/VI/2017/UMJATIM and the police had examined 16 witnesses, including UYM and had increased the case process from investigation into investigation.
"If it is the level of investigation that indicates the existence of a crime, why instead SP3 emerge?," asked Rahmat.
