KPK Excuses Rejected, Pre Trial of Setya Novanto Continues

JAKARTA - Judge of South Jakarta District Court, Cepi Iskandar rejected exception or objection to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) over a pre-trial suit filed by Setya Novanto.
One of the exclusion points of KPK namely the statement of the applicant who called KPK is not authorized to conduct an investigation because there are still police investigators who have double status or are still active as police but have been appointed as permanent employees of KPK.
KPK mentioned the absolute competence, in which the authority to examine it is the State Administrative Court.
Nevertheless, Judge Cepi assesses the exception of the requested party has deviated from the principal application of the applicant requesting the judge of the pre-trial to verify whether or not the appellant suspect is stipulated.
"Pre-trial judges conclude that the pre-trial petition of the petitioners is not a TUN dispute, so the South Jakarta District Court is authorized to adjudicate this petition," Cepi said in South Jakarta District Court on Friday (22/9).
He declared the entire KPK exceptions. Furthermore, the pre-trial judge will continue the examination of the Novanto suspect process.
"Pre-trial judges will continue the pre-trial process," Cepi said.
