JAKARTA - Hoping to be a bridge her steps to go international, this versatile singer reckless to release a pop ballad Melayu song titled 'Seadanya Berkasih'.
Then, what exactly makes Ratna Listy still want this genre song to be a new single in the middle of Melayu pop ballad no longer popular in the ears of music lovers, especially in Indonesia?
"In the beginning, when I heard the song and really like the old days, the song full of poetry. It's very difficult to write poetically, especially Malay. But after communication with Denzai, the creator of the song, it turns out the meaning in. Is much preferred in Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei," said Ratna Listy in Jakarta on Friday (4/8).
This song is planned to be released not only in Indonesia, but also in three other Southeast Asian countries namely Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Darussalam.
Ratna admitted if genre of pop ballad melayu is not currently a trend in Indonesia. But, because the process of making this song handled by Denzai, who in fact has experience in four countries, she optimistic this song will be able to compete in Southeast Asia level, and able to be an opening her steps to go international.
"How in Indonesia? Yes.. we said Bismillah.. If we see the genre of music share like this is sluggish and then we just surrender, our life will not have color and stuck there. It's not really me. So, we must go on," she asserted.
