Ministry of Defense Ask State Defense Academy to Coordinate

JAKARTA - Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) assessed the emergence of State Defense Academy (ABN) which made by National Democratic Party (Nasdem), recently as a positive effort, but should be coordinated with Ministry of Defense as an institution mandated by the law as implementer of state defense program.
"According to Law No. 3/2002, state defending is for state defense, and if it speaks defense of state it's right of Ministry of Defense," said Minister of Defense, Ryamizard Ryacuduin Rumpin, Bogor regency, West Java on Wednesday (19/6).
His side are grateful if there are other institutions who participated to spread what has been done by Ministry of Defense for 2.5 years lately.
"But it's should coordination, it must from one source. Do not others, people will be confused," he said.
Regarding his supervision, Defense Minister said he would order his staff to visit ABN.
"My staff will be there, we will see how we will be complete, there is Director of State Defense," said Ryamizard.
He requested the material given also same with what has been given by Ministry of Defense.
"What is state defending definition, what should be conveyed do not deviate from UUD 45," he said.
On this occasion, Minister of Defense, Ryamizard Ryacudu provided debriefing to 1,031 Papuan students to defend state. The students were trained to be more faithful to Pancasila.
"State defense for the indigenous people of Papua is to realize young cadres who have awareness of attitudes and behaviors that have Pancasila personality with nationalism and high patriotism," said Ryamizard.
This former Chief of Army Staff stressed that the creation loyal to Pancasila as ideology, and willing to sacrifice for the nation and state. That is the goal to be achieved from the state defending activities.
The Defense Minister also assesses the ability of state defense to be psychically developed, it will be useful to build character of discipline, cooperation and leadership that supports Papuan students in their education process.
Moreover, said Ryamizard, currently students in Papua still lack access to a good education up to college.
"This program is not only Ministry of Defense responsibility, but also responsibility of all human resource developers," explained Defense Minister.
