JAKARTA - Two of Indonesia's top singers, Afgansyah Reza and Rossa will make the Tuban city festive while performing on Kongco Kwan Sing Tee Koen (God of Chinese War) anniversary celebration.
The 1857th anniversary event of Kongco Kwan Sing Tee Koen is planned to be held at Klenteng Kwan Sing Bio Tuban, East Java. Afgan and Rossa scheduled to perform in the peak of birthday celebrations on Sunday, July 16, 2017.
Alim Sugiantoro, Chief Coordinator of Kwan Sing Bio's pagoda birthday has a reason why choosing Afgan and Rossa as guest stars. Singers pair who had been rumored to be dating was chosen because of the popularity of both are well known to the public.
"It has been several years we wanted to present them, and this year they can finally perform in Tuban. Hopefully they will be able to entertain the guests and local residents," Alim said in Jakarta on Monday (10/7).
In addition to appearance of the two top singers, a series of interesting events are also held in a pagoda that is directly facing the sea.
"The inauguration of statue of Kwan Sing Tee Koen which thirty meters high as the highest statue in Southeast Asia will get award from Indonesian Record Museum (MURI)," said Alim.
